To acquire the Vow of Tulin, Sage of Wind, you must complete the main quest titled “Tulin of Rito Village.” Follow these steps to initiate the quest and obtain Tulin’s vow:
- Unlock the “Regional Phenomena” quest by activating the first Skyview Tower in Lookout Landing and speaking to Purah.
- Make your way to Rito Village and approach Teba.
- Engage in dialogue with Teba, which will trigger the start of the “Tulin of Rito Village” quest.
- Progress through the quest by completing all the required steps.
- Finally, face and defeat the boss, Colgera, to receive Vow of Tulin, Sage of Wind as your reward.
How to Use Vow of Tulin, Sage of Wind in Tears of the Kingdom
After acquiring the Vow of Tulin, Sage of Wind, you can harness Tulin’s Power of Wind to enhance your exploration and combat abilities. Here’s how to make the most of this vow:
Summoning and Dismissing Tulin’s Avatar:
- Open your inventory and navigate to the Key Items section.
- Locate the Vow of Tulin and choose the option to Dismiss or Summon.
Exploration:
- While in mid-air during a paraglide, press the A button to interact with Tulin’s avatar.
- Tulin will summon a gust of wind which boosts Link forward, granting him a short period of increased speed and more air time while gliding.
- This ability enables you to access previously unreachable areas and explore with greater freedom!
Combat:
- While on the ground, interact with Tulin’s avatar to summon a gust of wind.
- The gust can be directed in any desired direction.
- Use it strategically to knock back enemies and smaller objects, utilizing its force as an offensive maneuver!
Note: Like other vows, Tulin also won’t appear in settlements, including the area of Rito Village, where you obtained the vow. To have Tulin accompany you, venture into open-world areas outside settlements.
