When you finally confront Fiona, the head of this operation, you’re presented with two choices: follow through with your original task and leak everything, or accept Fiona’s offer for a “controlled leak” that won’t devastate her agency as much. What Happens if You Accept Fiona’s Offer in Talent Academy?
If you opt to accept Fiona’s offer, you’ll gain access to the agency’s files and leak data on a select group of tax-evading clients. This “controlled leak” will significantly impact the center but not destroy it completely. Here’s what happens if you accept Fiona’s deal:
- Johnny will express strong disapproval of your choice, as he’s strongly against the continued exploitation of children.
- Fiona will transfer the data to you, which you’ll then forward to Mr. Hands.
- After leaving the center, you’ll receive your thanks and payment from Mr. Hands, effectively closing the case.
What Happens if You Refuse Fiona’s Offer in Talent Academy?
On the contrary, if you decide to stand your ground and reject Fiona’s offer:
- Fiona will make one last plea, asking you to reconsider, but she’ll eventually grant you access to the data with reluctance. You can then access the data from a terminal in another room.
- As you part ways, Fiona will issue a veiled threat, warning you that you’ll soon regret your decision. (I decided to eliminate this cynical woman at this point.)
- Fiona’s threat isn’t just empty words. Upon leaving the center, you’ll be ambushed by a hit squad under Fiona’s employ. Fortunately, they won’t pose too much of a challenge for a seasoned player.
- Shortly after dealing with the ambush, Mr. Hands will contact you and reward you handsomely for your successful mission.
What Is the Best Choice in Cyberpunk 2077: Talent Academy?
Both choices ultimately lead to a similar outcome: you complete the mission, and your employer, Mr. Hands, doesn’t express any doubts if you opt for the controlled leak. However, in the dystopian setting of Cyberpunk 2077, destroying the agency’s business doesn’t seem like it would make a significant difference.
Considering the potential harm to innocent children, including Tommie, I chose to help Fiona and preserve at least some pretense of protection for these vulnerable youngsters. Ultimately, the decision is yours to make based on your V’s values and priorities in Night City.
