To make the most of this event during the hour it’s active and accumulate a high number of Aberrant Cinders, you’ll need to know the best farming method. Aberrant Cinders are essential for opening Helltide Chests, including the expensive Mystery Chests that cost 250 each.

If you want to quickly collect a good amount of Aberrant Cinders during the Helltide event and have the chance to open both Mystery Chests in each half of the Helltide zone, here’s what you can do:

  • Step 1: Teleport to the nearest waypoint that leads to the active Helltide zone.
  • Step 2: Open the Helltides.com website on your mobile phone or keep it handy in the background. This website provides a map featuring the current Helltide zone, all the World Events, and even the possible Mystery Chest locations.
  • Step 3: Select two World Events (marked in orange) that you’ll focus on during your farming.

  • Step 4: Travel to the location of the first event and start it. Try to complete the Mastery objective to receive the maximum amount of Aberrant Cinders from the chest reward at the end.
  • Step 5: Once you finish the first event and open the chest, immediately hop on your horse and head to the location of the second event. Ignore any mobs you encounter along the way!

  • Step 6: Complete the second event and then return to the location of the first one.
  • Step 7: Repeat this process of hopping between the two selected events. Aim to complete their Mastery objectives each time!

By focusing on speedrunning World Events and ignoring the non-elite mobs wandering in the Helltide zone, you can efficiently accumulate a significant amount of Aberrant Cinders in no time!

However, completing the Mastery objective in each event is crucial, so pay attention to the specific objectives. Consider teaming up with other players to make this process even faster and easier! On that note, I highly recommend joining the official Sanctuary – Diablo 4 Community Discord server if you haven’t already. There, you can easily find a group to play with by posting in the #sc-lfg-helltides channel or adding someone who has posted there.

What are Aberrant Cinders in Diablo 4?

Aberrant Cinders are a special currency used to open Tortured Chests within the Helltide zone in Diablo 4. It’s essential to note that you can only collect these Cinders during the one-hour duration of an active Helltide event, which takes place approximately every 2-3 hours. To obtain Aberrant Cinders, you need to open chests, complete World Events, and defeat enemies inside the Helltide Zone (marked in red on the map). However, remember that any Cinders you don’t spend during the event will disappear once the Helltide event ends!
