Diablo 4 is definitely one of the best RPGs this year. The game literally does nothing wrong as they put together the best RPG elements and combine them into a package for us.
There is so much to do in Diablo 4 that users tend to spend hours grinding without even showing a hint of stress. Running dungeons for loot is one of the best things about the game.
And guess who finds you in these dungeons? The Butcher of course.
If you have played the first Diablo game, you would know how much of a problem this dude can be. Let’s just say he was easier to beat in the first game.
So if you are stuck trying to beat this guy, I don’t blame you. He is incredibly difficult to deal with and we are going to help you take him down.
Where to Find the Butcher?
The Butcher in Diablo 4 makes his comeback as one of the toughest bosses. However, the sad part is you don’t get to see him often.
He would randomly spawn in Dungeons as he shouts out the iconic “Fresh Meat!”. His spawn is extremely rare, so the best way to actually find him is to keep grinding dungeons praying that he shows up.
How to Kill the Butcher?
If you come across The Butcher and he kills you, that is it. You don’t get a second chance, rather he won’t give you one.
The reason why he is so tough to beat is his monstrous strength combined with incredible speed. Yes, the butcher is quick as a cat. While fighting the dude, this is what you need to look out for:
- He has a Hook attack that can pull you in towards him while Stunning you at the same time. It has a limited range and can be dodged.
- His Charge is slow to start as he runs in at you like a truck. The move Stuns you as well but is easily dodgeable.
- His Rapid Melee Swings are really fast and hard to dodge.
- His Headbutt is a slow move that can easily be dodged.
However, if you are caught by any of these attacks, good luck staying alive. If you get Stunned, he will follow it up with a few super fast melee swings eventually taking you down.
Beating Butcher takes more strategy than you can imagine. If you are out looking for him, make sure you have a Dodge cooldown stat on your gear or a double dodge. You need to evade and attack.
Staying too close to him would not work either. You need to maintain a distance at all times.
Here are a few tips you would want to follow in order to take The Butcher down:
Sorcerer:
If you are looking for The Butcher, make sure you have a 2 Barrier build (Ice and Fire). You need to also have the Teleport skill. When the Butcher charges at you, teleport at a distance behind him and attack as much as possible until he covers the gap.
Sorcerers are squishy, you need to run around the map most of the time. Taking down The Butcher might take a while. Activate your barrier whenever you see him closing in.
Druid:
A Pulverized Bear Build might work in your favor. Also, make sure you have Earthern Bulwark if you are into an Elemental only build. Maintain your distance and evade his attacks. When you find an opening attack him. Druid is one of the best characters you can use against the Butcher. If you could summon Wolves that could also work in your favor.
Rogue:
Rogue has a lot of evasion skills along with ranged attacks which makes it easier for this class to fight The Butcher. You can easily Dash behind the Butcher and attack him until he comes at you again. Keep repeating the same thing.
Necromancer:
The best way to take down the Butcher with the Necro is with the Minions Build along with the Golem. He would be too busy fighting your army and all you need to do is to manage the fight from a distance. Trying doing Corpse Explosion on him as well.
Barbarian:
Even though Barbs have a lot of health, it is nothing compared to the damage The Butcher does. Barbarians are close-quarter fighters and it might be difficult for them to take the Butcher down. Your best way to win would be to have a Beserk-Whirlwind Build, which lets you get behind The Butcher easily while you spin.
You also need to run around the map while your cooldowns reset. Don’t even think of fighting him head-on with your Basic attack. Death Blow is also a good option to have.
Beating the Butcher is not at all easy. At the end of the day, it comes down to your fighting prowess and your ability to think and use the right skills at the right time.
These tips will only give you an edge but you alone need to deal with the fight. There is no glitch method to beat this guy.
So don’t give up hope when he takes you down the first time. Don’t hurry, be patient and use your abilities in the best possible way. It is like they say “Take your time and get the job done“.
