Palworld Update Patch v0.1.4.0 Is Out!

Palworld is the latest global sensation in the survival RPG style of games. You get a mix of crafting mechanics similar to Minecraft and a Pokemon-like Creature Capture mechanic as well.

The latest update, patch v0.1.4.0, brings a lot of changes to Palworld, which we will see in this post.

Major Fixes

  • The random game crashes have been fixed
  • If another player’s pal/base pal had HP 30% or less, it could be captured by using a sphere. This has been Fixed.
  • Enemy Pals got stuck in walls due to charge attacks. This has been fixed.
  • Fixed the issue where the game would always crash and save data would be corrupted when the guild’s total number of pals captured reached around 7000.
  • Even if the total number of captured objects exceeds 7000, the game does not crash anymore.
  • Save Data prior to this update will still be unable to load. The fix is still at work, and we can see it in future updates.

Key Configuration

Support for a mouse has been added to Palworld side keys and numeric keypad in the keyboard key configuration.
Support for interacting key configuration and other changes are planned for future patch updates.

Player Issue Fixes

  • Players on dedicated servers and co-op (online) were receiving damage twice. This issue has now been Fixed.
  • You can now move at extremely low speed even when you have exceeded the weight limit. This is a much needed change after the encumbered effect was getting a bit irritating.
  • Players will no longer pass through walls when dismounting.
  • The issue where capture power strengthened by Lifmunk Effigies was reset when using memory reset drugs has now been fixed.
  • The armor was getting equipped in the wrong slot. This issue has now been fixed.
  • Camera position adjustments have been done on several Pals to make it easier to see when mounted.

Base Issues and Fixes

  • Pals who are manually assigned to a breeding farm will not become hungry, and their manual assignments will not be removed.
  • The key to lifting Pals has been changed from F → V (Pad: X → Y) in order to prevent accidents.
  • The speed and range of fire spreading on wooden buildings has been significantly reduced.
  • Manual work assignments could not be set at all under certain circumstances. This issue has now been fixed.
  • Extremely high-level Relaxaurus would attack the base during raids. The issue has now been addressed.
  • The base Pals getting stuck issue has now been fixed to a great extent, and you will see fewer stuck Pals.
  • Pals would get stuck while transporting items and would drop them on the spot. The issue has now been fixed.
  • Pals at the base would continue to cut down trees that were already cut. They will no longer do that, and it has been fixed.
  • Pals at the base were on the verge of death due to unexplained falling damage. It has now been addressed.
  • The floating Pals issue under certain conditions has been fixed.
  • If a farm were built on the second floor or above, work pals would be unable to move on the floors below. This issue has now been fixed.

Other

  • The devs have corrected certain incorrect text.
  • Steps and algorithms have been added to prevent cheating and stealing other players’ Pals.
  • UI key guide has been added to the list of fixes as well.

As the game continues to rise and more patches and updates unfold, we expect to see more quality of life improvement and other minor bug fixes.
