There is no such thing as an ‘out-of-bounds’ room in Hogwarts Legacy. If you come upon a room with a door, you know you can enter it. However, many of these doors will be locked, and you won’t always have a key to open them. This is where the evergreen unlocking charm, Alohomora comes in as one of the magical ARPG’s most valuable and useful spells!
If you’ve completed the first few story quests, chances are you’ve already been taught this spell by Hogwarts caretaker Gladwin Moon and are using it to open doors and chests with weaker locks. But what about the Level 2 and Level 3 locks? This guide will teach you how to easily upgrade your Alohomora spell in Hogwarts Legacy to break the tougher locks and never miss out on a single piece of loot ever again!
How to Level Up the Alohomora Spell in Hogwarts Legacy?
“The Man Behind the Moons” is the side quest that Mr. Moon gives you after completing his first “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament” quest and learning the essential unlocking charm from him. You must complete this two-part quest to improve your lock-picking skills and upgrade the Alohomora Spell from Level 1 to Level 2 and then from Level 2 to Level 3.
To finish this somewhat tedious side mission, you must locate and collect Demiguise Moons held by the Demiguise Statues hidden across Hogwarts Castle, Hogsmeade, and hamlets in the open world. You must return nine of these Moons to Gladwin Moon to unlock Alohomora level two and another thirteen to unlock Alohomora level three. Remember that you can only interact with a statue at night, so take advantage of the ‘Wait’ feature on the Field Guide’s Map page.
