Best Way to Defeat Devastators in Helldivers II
Devastators, like the Hulks, come in three distinct variants in Helldivers 2:
- Gunner Devastator: Armed with dual cannons, it’s the least intimidating but can still pack a punch if ignored.
- Heavy Devastator: Equipped with machine guns and a sturdy shield, it requires heavy armor penetration to break through its defenses.
- Rocket Devastator: Equipped with shoulder-mounted multi-rocket launchers, posing a significant threat that must be neutralized swiftly.
Regardless of the variant, the most effective method of dispatching a Devastator is, to no one’s surprise, the RS-422 Railgun. A well-placed shot from this Support Weapon Stratagem can penetrate even the shield of a Heavy Devastator, swiftly neutralizing the threat.
But if you haven’t unlocked the Railgun yet, another effective strategy is to target the Devastator’s arms with a good primary weapon, such as the Breaker shotgun.
