Palworld is all about teamwork, and your Pals play a crucial role in your base’s success. However, just like us, Pals have their limits, and if their sanity (represented by their SAN meter) takes a nosedive, they can become ‘depressed’ and ‘weakened.’ Here’s how to remedy these ailments and get your pals back up to their full potential in Palworld!

To nurse your depressed or weakened Pals back to health in Palworld, you’ll need to provide them with ‘High Grade Medical Supplies.’ Obtain it by crafting some at a Medieval Medicine Workbench, finding it as drops from enemies or chests, or purchasing it for Gold.
To craft High Grade Medical Supplies, you must first have a ‘Medieval Medicine Workbench’ in your base, a workstation unlockable from the ‘Technology’ tab once you reach Level 12. Crafting 1x High Grade Medical Supplies requires 5x Ingots, 5x Horns, and 2x Bones.
Ingredients Breakdown:
- Ingots: Process Ores in a Furnace.
- Horns: Commonly sourced from the Eikthyrdeer.
- Bones: Best obtained from catching Vixy and Rushoar.
#ProTip: Refer to your Paldeck for each Pal’s potential drops and their habitats (locations).
If you prefer not to go Pal-hunting for ingredients, you can purchase the High Grade Medical Supplies from Wandering Merchants for a hefty 3000 Gold each. However, I HIGHLY advise against spending your gold on this item, as its ingredients are relatively readily available in the world, and suggest saving it for more valuable investments—like acquiring rare Pals from the Black Marketeer.
Once you have the High Grade Medical Supplies:
- Approach the ailing Pal in your base.
- Press the ‘Command Pal’ key (‘4’ for Keyboard users).
- Select the ‘Feed Pal’ option from the menu.
- Choose the medicine from your inventory.
Voila! Your Pal should instantly start feeling better, ready to work at their best once more.
