If you proudly identify as a member of the PC master race, chances are you missed out on the original console-exclusive Red Dead Redemption, a gem in Rockstar’s collection. While that exclusivity isn’t budging anytime soon, there’s good news for PC gamers. A new mod named Nuevo Paraiso is here to bring a taste of the original Red Dead map, letting you explore what you might have missed in Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2)!

Created by the ambitious ‘Mexico Team,’ this work-in-progress mod provides PC players the opportunity to wander freely through the landscapes and landmarks that were previously off-limits. Despite being labeled as a work in progress, Nuevo Paraiso is already a fully playable map port, offering a taste of the original Red Dead Redemption’s map.

You can download the RDR 2 Nuevo Paraiso mod from the official LibertyCity website here. You better move quickly, though; there’s a chance Rockstar Games might raise an eyebrow at this modification – given their track record.

While it’s true that there’s a glitch allowing players to access a small, unfinished portion of Mexico in the vanilla Red Dead Redemption 2, Mexico Team’s creation provides a more expansive and polished alternative.

And for those who have yet to dive into Red Dead Redemption 2, now is the perfect time. Both Steam and the Epic Games Store are offering a 67% discount during their respective Winter Sales (lasting until January 4th and 10th). If you choose Epic, there’s an additional 33% off with their coupon, making it an even sweeter deal for those who don’t mind the platform. Rest assured, you’re investing in one of the finest open-world action-adventure games ever made!
