While Nvidia’s Frame Generation tech is only supported by RTX 4000 series GPUs, AMD’s version of Frame Generation has been made available on every GPU. Here is how you can mod AMD FSR 3 into Cyberpunk 2077 or any game that supports DLSS 3.5, and use Frame Generation on RTX 2000 and RTX 3000 series GPUs.
How to use the AMD FSR 3 Frame Generation MOD in Cyberpunk 2077
- Download the “dlssg-to-fsr3-0.80” mod from the Nexus Mods
- You should get a .zip file
- Now, head over to your Cyberpunk 2077 installation folder
- Open the “bin” folder, followed by the “x64” folder
- This is where all your Cyberpunk installation files are
- Now, go back to the “dlssg-to-fsr3-0.80” zip, and extract the contents in a new folder
- To get this mod to work, you need to make Registry edits, so proceed only if are sure about this
- Double-click on the “DisableNvidiaSignatureChecks” files and accept everything to make changes to the Registry.
- In case you later decide to undo the changes to the Registry, double-click on the “RestoreNvidiaSignatureChecks” and accept everything
- Moving on, after disabling Nvidia Signature checks with the “DisableNvidiaSignatureChecks” file, copy the two .dll files “dlssg_to_FSR3_amd_is_better.dll” and “nvngx.dll”, and paste it inside the “Cyberpunk 2077 > bin > x64” folder
- Now, launch Cyberpunk 2077
- Go to the Graphics Menu, and you should see the “DLSS Frame Generation” option become available, even on an RTX 2060 or a 3060 GPU, when you select “DLSS Super Resolution” on “Resolution Scaling”
