Kinetic Ores, one of the many new additions to Fortnite in Chapter 4 Season 1, are essentially these boulder-sized dark-blue colored glittering slabs (mainly) found around the ‘Shattered Slabs’ POI. If you have completed the ‘Oathbound Quests’ this season, you might remember hitting these ores to extract some ‘Kinetic Chunks’ to complete one of the challenges. However, one of this week’s quests requires players to use these slabs as a mode of transport literallyHere’s the easiest method to overcome this challenge as quickly as possible.

How to Travel Distance Using Kinetic Ore in Fortnite

STEP 1The first step is always to find the object in question. Here’s a good location where you can find a Kinetic Ore without encountering bloodthirsty opponents trying to kill you.

STEP 2As the name suggests, these ores can store kinetic energy, which will absorb any damage you do to them. Using your harvesting tool, hit the slab while facing the direction you wish to go. Looking up towards the sky, aim the purple light beam at a 45° angle to the ground.

STEP 3: After you hear the sound cue implying that Kinetic Ore is fully charged, quickly climb up on top of it and brace yourself for BLAST OFF! You can do your favorite emote while riding this Kinetic Ore as it flies through the air without falling off or worrying about any fall damage when it lands.

STEP 4: Repeat the above steps till you complete all the stages of this Weekly Quest in Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 1. A good idea is always to be aiming to travel towards future Storm Circles. Oh, and be careful of losing your new friend to any water bodies since you won’t be able to recover it after it has sunk!

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is available now for Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Android devices, and PC.
