‘The Man Who Killed Jason Foreman’ is a side gig that becomes available after completing the Phantom Liberty main mission titled ‘The Damned.’ To kickstart this Gig, head to the green marker on your map located north of Terra Cognita, where Mr. Hands will reach out to you. He’ll direct you to a woman named Briana.
- Progress through the gig as instructed, dealing with any hostiles you encounter as you navigate the abandoned motel. Eventually, you’ll find yourself in a room with your target, Leon Rinder, and his bodyguard, Yasha Ivanov.
- Defeat Yasha and then converse with Rinder.
- When faced with the choice to execute him or spare his life, choose ‘Lower Weapon.’
- Rinder will hand over his dog tag (which you can later deliver to Briana) and provide you with coordinates to his personal stash.
- This will unlock a follow-up quest: ‘Addicted to Chaos.’ Track the Job and follow the location marker on your map.
- Upon reaching the garage, interact with the keypad and input the code: 1975.
- Inside, you’ll discover the Dezerter neatly stored inside a briefcase on the table.
2. Directly Head to the Garage and Enter the Code
Sometimes, V just has a hunch or a vision about the exact number combination to unlock that garage door, right? In this unconventional method, you can skip the entire Gig and head directly to the location above. Enter the code (1975) into the keypad, and voila – your “reward” awaits in the garage!
