Palword Capture Rate Bug finally fixed!

News

People who have been even a tad bit updated with gaming news in the past few days know that Palworld is trending everywhere. From Steam charts to Streaming Platforms, it is ruling them all. The game has undergone a lot of changes since its launch, but there was this one bug that Pocketpair didn’t bother fixing.

We are obviously talking about the Pal Capture Rate bug. Let’s talk about that.

Pocketpair finally fixes the Lifmunk Effigy bug in Palworld

If you didn’t know, up until February 7, players were reporting a bug in Palworld that was causing the Effigies in Palworld to give them a negative capture rate. Normally, if you collect Lifmunk Effigies and submit them to the Statue of Power, your Capture Rate will increase. But unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Instead, the Effigies were actually reducing the Pal capture rate of players. This means new players with no Effigies were able to have a better catch rate than max-level players. How do we know? There have been plenty of videos proving the point. This video from Asmongold sums it up:

Thankfully, Pocketpair has gone ahead and fixed this bug with the latest 2024/02/07 Update Patch v0.1.4.1. Here is the “fix” part from the patch note:

Fixed an issue where, although the displayed capture probability increased when the capture power was strengthened with Lifmunk Effigies, the capture probability did not actually increase at all due to an internal processing bug.

The only issue is that this update has only arrived at Steam. So, xbox users will have to wait a bit longer.

We would say that Pocketpair is heading in the right direction, and this shows that they are listening to the community closely.
