CS 2: Can’t Equip USP-S, M4A4, and CZ75 – What to do?

Counter-Strike 2

Counter-Strike 2 is finally out, at least the beta. And it has already proven itself to be one of the biggest launches of 2023. But that doesn’t change the fact that the game still suffers from a lot of issues. I personally got access to the Limited Test just a week ago, and I have already come across plenty of bugs and glitches here and there. The annoying one being, not being able to equip the USP-S, the M4A4, and the CZ75 on CT side. I was stuck with P2000, M4A1-S, Five-Seven, and MP7 for so long. So what do you do?

CS 2 Loadout Bug

What to do if you can’t Equip USP-S, M4A4, and CZ75 in CS 2

Let me start by saying that this is not normal. You should be able to equip any weapon you want from the Loadout section by right-clicking on it and then selecting “Replace for CT” or “Replace for T”. So when I started getting this issue, I became sure that this was a bug, and can only be fixed by Valve. But until Valve does that, here is what you can do to equip the weapons mentioned above:

  1. Open CS2.
  2. Go to Loadout.
  3. Click on the weapon you want to swap from your Loadout.
  4. The replacement options for that weapon should appear below.
  5. Now, instead of right-clicking on the weapon you want to equip from below, drag the weapon and drop it into your loadout.
  6. For example, if you are not being able to switch to USP-S from P2000, click on P2000 under “Starting Pistol”, USP-S should appear below.
  7. Now, just drag and drop USP-S to your Starting Pistol box.

That is all you have to do. Another thing you can do is, if you have CS GO installed along with CS2, open CS GO, equip everything you want from there, close CS GO, and then launch CS2. The changes you made in CS GO should be carried over to CS2.
