Hogwarts Legacy offers a superabundance of side missions, over a hundred, to be specific! These side missions also include ‘Assignments’ from your professors at Hogwarts, which you must complete to learn new spells for use in combat and/or exploration. ‘Madam Kogawa’s Assignment I’ is one such assignment that will be assigned to you by your flying teacher and Quidditch coach at Hogwarts, and upon completion, she will teach you the highly versatile freezing spell, ‘Glacius.’

Hogwarts Legacy: How to Pop Balloons Over Hogsmeade Station and Quidditch Pitch
STEP #0 – Buy a broom at Hogsmeade
If you have already taken your first flying lesson from Madam Kogawa but haven’t rushed to the ‘Spintwitches Sporting Needs’ broom shop at Hogsmeade, what are you doing?! Go there and purchase a broom that suits you – it’s the only magical item you’ll need for this assignment.
STEP #1 – Pop balloons over Hogsmeade Station
The assignment requires you to pop five balloons at two separate locations on the map, the first of which is the Hogsmeade Station. Tracking the quest from your Field Guide will mark the general area you’ll need to traverse to find these balloons on your map. Once there, fly into each floating balloon and watch it burst into confetti! You can also cast Revelio while flying on your broom if you’re like me and are having trouble finding the last balloon. It really is the most convenient spell!
STEP #2 – Pop balloons around the Quidditch Pitch
The second destination is Hogwarts’ famed Quidditch pitch. The same blue-golden balloons will be flying in the skies over the field; pop them to advance to the next step and learn your newest spell. Revelio is your best friend if you’re having trouble spotting that one balloon hiding in plain sight.
STEP #3 – Visit Madam Kogawa at her office
