The most anticipated RPG of the year has been Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield, It is the first new IP of the studio in almost more than 2 whole decades! Now, in the game, with the cities being Bethesda’s biggest ever created, we assure you that the game will keep its players busy for quite a while! Starfield is also set to have a DLC story expansion launch a few months post the release of the game. Let’s talk about that! (Any GMM fans?)
So, if you are someone who wants to get to know about all the upcoming DLC of Starfield, then dive in and keep reading to find out all the release dates and content.
All upcoming DLC of Starfield with Release Dates
The only DLC known to date is the ‘Shattered Space’. However, the release date of the DLC is yet to be announced. All we know is that the content will be the story expansion of the game itself, but the main contents are still unknown.
It is the first DLC of the game and was announced during the Starfield Direct Stream of Bethesda, which took place on the 12th of June 2023. It was said that, primarily, the DLC will contain Starfield’s story expansion. As for the players who pre-ordered the Premium and the Constellation Editions of the game will be receiving the DLC for no cost, i.e., for free. However, the players with the Standard Edition of the game will have to wait for a while as the price for the DLC has not been confirmed yet.
The Shattered Space DLC of Starfield officially has no launch date set yet. However, it is safe to expect its release to be 4 to 5 months post the initial release of the game, which means either the end of this year, 2023 or during the first few months of the next year, 2024.
Are there going to be more DLC in Starfield?
Considering the previous mainline titles of Bethesda, like Fallout 4 and Skyrim, it is safe to say that Bethesda is not a stranger while talking about DLCs, as these titles have had multiple DLCs after their initial release. Additionally, in an interview with IGN, Todd Howard, who is the game director, confirmed that after the game’s launch, they intend to create lots of add-on content for the game, Starfield.
Even without the DLCs, the game is huge and will keep you busy for approximately 166 hours if you spend even 10 minutes on each of the planets in the game! That pretty much sums up all that there is to know about whether Starfield would get a DLC or not. Stay tuned with us for further updates!
